When it comes to weight loss, it can be overwhelming. The thought of cooking, working out, and meal prepping can be difficult. That is why these 4 simple steps to lose weight that I am about to provide you will make it so much easier.
I have 4, simple steps for you to start implementing to start achieving the weight loss goals you desire or to start building that healthy relationship with the food.
A misconception people have is that they have to do everything all at once, meal prep, work out, and eat healthily. This causes people to get overwhelmed too quickly and give up before giving themselves a fair chance.
You can start by doing one step at a time. Taking this at a slow pace will help you keep this up longer.
The 4-steps I am sharing are the same, the ones I use to build my healthy lifestyle.
4 steps to achieving your weight loss goals:
Write down your goals
Write down your goals in detail. You have to visualize them and see the person you want to become.
You have to believe in yourself. You have to believe, that you will achieve your goals with no, obstacles.
Don’t feed into your limitations. When you tell yourself you can’t, your mind will also tell you – you can’t. You are capable of achieving whatever you set your mind to.
Make a plan
When making a plan – make it simple. You want to avoid overwhelming yourself. Plan your meals by picking items from the grocery, and what meals you want to have during, taking the guessing game out and having all the ingredients at home makes everything so much easier to stay on track.
How many days are you going to commit to being active? Remember, you don’t need any fancy workout routine. You have to do what you love and what feels right, for you. You want to be able to enjoy it and show up. When you do a physical activity you enjoy – you will want to show up. You will feel good after you’re doing it.
Create habits
When it comes to habits, throw away motivations. Motivation comes and goes, so you can’t rely on it. You have to show up every day for yourself even when you don’t feel like it. When creating habits takes time, and you will have to show up even when you don’t want to, but once it comes as part of your routine, you show up even without thinking about it.
Stay focused on your goals and keep visualizing them. You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be consistent.
Change your mindset around food
Stop labeling food as good or bad. Food is not the enemy. When you put labels on the food you eat your mind begins to believe it. You have to enjoy the food you eat. When you don’t put labels on food and enjoy what you eat you create a healthy relationship with food.
You can sustain a long-term healthy lifestyle when you don’t restrict yourself. You also avoid binge eating because you enjoy the food you love when you want and in moderation.
