Let’s talk about Mindset Shift and how your subconscious mind plays a big role.

I finally understood how my subconscious mind was working and playing a big role in my weight loss journey. I needed to understand how it was hindering my progress. In order to be able to make my healthy lifestyle long-term.
Let me explain how our minds play tricks on us in order to keep us where we are and make us feel safe.
But before we dive into our subconscious mind, let me, give you the definition of what subconscious means – part of our mind making a decision without you having to think about it.
It is just like our muscle memory. For example: when you drive to a repetitive location you no longer need directions or to even think about it because you already recognized the roads and signs, and you drive straight to your destination. Or when you cook a meal often you no longer need to look up the recipe because you already know the ingredients and directions to make it.
So when it comes to our subconscious mind it works the same. When you are so used to doing the same thing over and over you no longer have to think about it.
Your subconscious mind automatically will signal you this is how we do it.
Now you are probably wondering how my subconscious mind will help me with my weight loss. When trying to make changes, you must be able to overpower your subconscious mind. What you work on is redirecting your mind in order to form new habits.
I am not going to lie, it’s not going to be easy, and it won’t change overnight. It takes time and patience. But this is how you start building a healthy lifestyle long-term.
HERE IS HOW TO START SHIFTING YOUR MINDSET
You have to be very clear on your goals. Why is it that you want to achieve these goals, and why are they so important?
Here is why this part is so important. Your subconscious mind will want to pull out the old you, and your subconscious mind will be louder. But when you have your goals clear, and you are determined here is when your conscious mind needs to come in. You, as the conscious, person, need to redirect your subconscious mind.
You will recognize when your subconscious mind will try to derail you. So you will have to redirect yourself over and over until you become louder than your subconscious mind.
This is the reason why when you start a new fitness program, you have a hard time sticking to your plan. You have to be able to break old habits first.
This is also why you feel that food controls you because you allow your subconscious mind to make the decisions for you.
So this is why you have to make your conscious mind louder in order to start shifting that mindset. It does take daily work, especially when your subconscious mind is telling you that you are lazy, you have no time, and you don’t want to meal prep. This is when you have to remind yourself of your goals.
Give yourself permission to make the changes you desire. Sometimes, we hold ourselves back from achieving our goals because we don’t feel like we are not enough.
Your subconscious mind is powerful, but so are you!
